The energy in the room was amazing and the students are looking forward to future visits with the company.

Green careers week

6-11 November 2023 is Green Careers Week, providing students with an insight into careers that specifically protect the environment and will help the UK achieve its pledge of reaching Net Zero by 2050. Young people want to be involved in finding solutions to our environmental challenges, so it's vital that we provide opportunities to show them how they can play an active role within the world of work. Knowing how they can find careers that play a significant part in improving our environmental credentials should contribute towards restoring their confidence in a positive and sustainable future.

A message from HEPP

We hope you are keeping well.  We wanted to remind you of our next event specifically for parents, carers, and students to hear about options after Y11. We will explain what the difference is between BTECs, A Levels and T Levels and the routes into higher education. We will discuss the different options available to your young person and how to support your young person with their Post 16 options.

You will hear from our student and parent ambassadors who will share their experiences and what they found useful. There will also be an opportunity to ask any questions. This event is applicable to parents and carers of secondary aged students with a focus for Y10 onwards.

The session ‘Parent and Carers – Options after Y11’ is taking place on Thursday 29 June 2023 from 5pm – 6pm.

Careers Information re Higher Education

We are very aware that in the current circumstances created by the Covid-19 pandemic, there are many students in a home environment concerned about future career planning and many parents and guardians helping them with this. In order to help at this time Hepp have collected a sample of their most appropriate resources which do not require Hepp/teacher delivery. It is our hope that these will be used in the coming days and weeks to enable family learning and foster conversations about higher education in the home. Although the resources linked are primarily geared towards Y11 and beyond, they are still relevant and informative to all.
